Family Fishing Night

Description

The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism is sponsoring family fishing nights in Chisholm Creek Park. Fishing equipment and tackle will be provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please register for the event by contacting Rebecca sellers at 316-683-5499 x208 or via email at rebecca@gpnc.org.

We will be fishing at the Great Plains Nature Center's Island Pond, where we can catch bluegill, bass, catfish and crappie. The pond is also home to many other wildlife, and is a peaceful scene to experience fishing with your family!  Staff is onsite to help as much or as little as needed. Connect with your kids and fish Kansas!

- All fishing equipment and tackle is provided, but you're welcome to bring your own

- Children must be supervised by a responsible adult during the event

- Free tacklebox for each child who attends.

- Meet in the parking lot just to the west of the Great Plains Nature Center at 6:00 PM

- Printed tickets are not required to attend

- Please register each person individually (including all adults and children.)
