Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors, Inc. Announces Eric Dinger As Board Chair

Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors, Inc. has announced Eric Dinger as their new Board Chair.

“Eric has been a great advocate and leader on our Board of Directors for many years. We are thankful for his continued leadership during his next tenure on the board! Eric fills this role perfectly as he has started and scaled multiple organizations and projects throughout his professional career. We are looking forward to how he leads our program moving forward” said Brittany French CEO of Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors.

When asked about the role, Dinger had this to say.

“Do you ever think to yourself, ‘dang, the world needs a day in a tree stand’?

Our culture is covered up in physical and mental health challenges – lots of people are struggling and stressed. Time spent outdoors has always been the thing that brings me back to my center. Pass It On is providing thousands of young people who may not have had the chance the opportunity to experience that same feeling.

Deer don’t vote.

If we want young people to care about wild animals and wild places when they’re adults, they need to experience those things. And that’s where Pass It On shines.

Pass It On is poised to grow the reach and impact of our work, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to help make that happen.”

About Eric Dinger:

Eric is a consultant who works with businesses and NGOs in the conservation space.

Most recently Dinger was the President of Arbor Day Carbon, a subsidiary of the Arbor Day Foundation. Prior to his work in carbon, Dinger was the Founder and CEO of Powderhook. There, Dinger and his team built a mission-driven company to solve the biggest problem facing the outdoor industry: declining participation. To do so, Powderhook worked together with many of the largest and most influential outdoor brands on combined mobile and marketing strategies.

Sovereign Sportsman Solutions (S3), now Payit Outdoors, acquired Powderhook in 2019 as part of a strategy for rolling together conservation technology with complementary purposes. Following the acquisition, Dinger served as Vice President of Marketing and Customer Engagement at S3 for two years.

Before starting Powderhook, Dinger built and sold a brand and sales strategy consultancy with clients throughout the country.

A seasoned entrepreneur and leader, Dinger applies hard-earned business lessons to his community through investments of time and money in key initiatives. Perhaps most notably, Dinger led a “Housing First” initiative in his hometown of Lincoln, NE which ended veteran homelessness and has cut long-term homelessness by over 90 percent.

Dinger is an avid hunter, angler, conservationist, and chef. He enjoys joining his wife and children on outdoor adventures of all kinds. The Dinger family and their small zoo of animals currently reside in rural Nebraska.
