Brent L Ewing Obituary

Brent L. Ewing, 65, beloved husband, brother and friend, passed from this world on Monday, October 16, 2023 at his home. Brent was born on April 30,1958 to William (Bill) and Vesta Ewing in

Wichita, Kansas. Brent met and married the love of his life, Loretta Zarnowski, on October 12, 1991, and recently celebrated 32 years of marriage.

Brent had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. His absolute joy was being in the great outdoors fishing or hunting, and being with friends. He was an inventor and held several patents, creating high-end fishing rods. He was always smiling. From an early age, Brent worked at his father’s gas station, and was a proud 1976 graduate of North High School in Wichita. After high school, he worked on boilers at different properties, maintenance at Simon Mall, partner at Castle Home Improvements, and eventually, owner of Ewing Home Improvement Company until his passing.

Brent was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mark Ewing, sister Cristine Ewing, and nephew Eric Ewing. He is survived by his wife Loretta of Wichita; sister Cindy (Matt) Caster of Wichita, sister Vicki (Bill) Terry of Derby, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of Brent’s life will be held on Saturday, October 28th at 2:00pm at Antioch Christian Church, 3741 W. 15th Street North, Wichita, Kansas. Cremation has occurred.
