BUTLER COUNTY PHEASANT HUNT

This event is being hosted by Tomas Heidenwirth of North Butler Pheasants Forever, Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors, Inc, and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. This hunt is open to 4 hunters. All youth must be hunter education certified. 

SCHEDULE + DETAILS

DATE: Saturday, November 20th, 2021

LOCATION: Big Marsh Wildlife Management Area Parkersburg, Iowa

Guests will meet first at Wilder Park Camp Lodge located at 22301 IA-3, Allison, IA 50602 for introductions and a safety debrief.

TIME: Arrive at 7:00 AM

AGE OF YOUTH: 11 years or age- 18 years of age

NUMBER OF HUNTERS: 4

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

WHAT TO EXPECT: This is a public land Pheasant Hunt at the beautiful Big Marsh WMA. Upon arrival to Wilder Park, which is a 10 minute drive to Big Marsh, volunteer mentors will lead introductions, lead a safety talk, discuss the plans of the hunt, and answer any questions youth hunters might have. 

DON'T FORGET

• All participants must have their Hunter Education Certificate!

• Bring Your Firearm and Ammo -Please let us know if you do not have one.

• Dress Accordingly To Weather

• Blaze orange will be worn in the field

• Hunting License + Permit(s) Needed. For youth who are 16 years of age and older, you must purchase a hunting license. Youth under the age of 16 do not have to purchase a hunting license.

• ALL youth hunters must purchase appropriate tags/permits for their hunt.

• Be Safe & Have Fun!
