Story County Mentored Youth Pheasant Hunt 9-30-2023

This event is being hosted by Story County Pheasants Forever and Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors, Inc. This trip is open to 20 youth with adults welcome to come along as well! 

DATE: Saturday, September 30th

LOCATION: Wirth Woods Preserve 15733 560th Ave, Story City, IA 50248

TIME: 9AM-2PM

AGE OF YOUTH: 11- 15 YEARS OLD

NUMBER OF Hunters: 20 youth

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:  Iowa Hunters Education

Mentors: Story County Pheasants Forever Chapter

WHAT TO EXPECT:  

Start time 9:00 

Hunting Etiquette 9:30 

Mock Hunting 10:30 

Practice Shooting 11:30 

Lunch 12:30 

Let's Go Hunting 1:30 till we are done!!

DON'T FORGET

• Good walking boots!

• Gun and Ammo!

• Blaze orange hat and/or vest

• Dress According to Weather

• Snacks and Drinks. 

• All appropriate tag and licenses ( See above)

• PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU DONT HAVE THESE THINGS!

• Be Safe & Have Fun!

• Adult must be present with all youth.
