Volunteers/Mentors from the Ringneck Rustlers PF Chapter will be mentoring 4 youth hunters for a goose hunt at Prairie Dog State Park.
This is a Youth-Mentor hunt. There must be at least one youth (age 15 and under) for each mentor, both the youth and the mentor can shoot. The maximum number of participants is 4. Hunt winners will have the choice of 2 waterfowl blinds set up along the state park shoreline (see map). Hunting blind location is marked by a yellow star on the map. The hunt-able shoreline level is labeled with a blue line, and the 2 blinds may vary depending on water levels. Please contact the office in the weeks prior to your hunt for specific locations or plan a site visit the days before. The hunts will take place from a half hour before sunrise until 11:00 AM. This permit only allows access to the blinds. A valid park pass is required to enter Prairie Dog State Park. Parking is available at 3 designated locations only. (1) Lower loop of Branded Cedar Primitive camping area (2) Leaning Tree campsite/Primitive camp area (3) and the shoreline access road East of Meadowlark Campground. This is a goose hunt.
