Kansas One Shot Turkey Hunt Youth Application
The Kansas One Shot Turkey Hunt has a mission to create opportunities and programs to preserve the Kansas hunting heritage while offering a great hunting and educational experience, including a youth program and a hunting heroes program. This year's event will take place on April 16th-18th, 2025 in El Dorado, KS. The Application process will be open until Monday, February 17th, 2025. The winners will be announced Monday, March 3rd, 2025.
5 youth hunters from across the state will be selected for this hunt. The Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors Program, Kansas Wildscape Foundation, and Kansas One Shot Turkey Hunt teams are responsible for selecting the nominations for these spots. Here are a few important requirements before you apply for the hunt:
All youth must have Hunter Education completed by the date of the event.
A parent or guardian must attend the event with their child.
All youth must be 11-18 years of age at the time of the event (April 16th-18th, 2025).
This is a one-time participant event. If you are not selected, you can keep applying. We encourage you to keep doing so!
We will select a winner from Northwest Kansas, Southwest Kansas, Northeast Kansas, Southeast Kansas, and one youth from the greater El Dorado area.
