Location: Hunting will occur on public land in Cheyenne County, KS.  

Time: TBD, Caleb will contact Hunter with exact time and location. 

Youth: 11 to 17.

Number of Youth: 1

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: 

All Hunters must be Hunter education certified.

Youth 15 and Under will only need a Turkey Permit. Youth over 15 will need a Turkey Permit and a KS hunting license. 

 WHAT TO EXPECT:  

This hunt will be conducted from a blind or spot and stalk. Each young hunter must be accompanied by a trusted adult. Hunts will take place in the early morning or afternoon and continue until the youth is tired of hunting or tagged out. 

Hunting will be led by an experienced volunteer mentor. Hunters are encouraged to bring their own shotgun, but one can be provided if needed. The volunteer mentor leading this hunt has plenty of experience and will walk the youth hunters through each step of the hunt. 

This will be a wild Turkey Hunt. We will meet, have a safety talk, and discuss the plans of the hunt, then answer any questions youth hunters might have. 

All Hunters need to ensure that their firearms are patterned before the hunt. 

Mentors will help field dress any game harvested.
