This event is being hosted by Jared Fox and Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors, Inc. This trip is open to one youth between the ages of 11 and 15. All youth must be accompanied by a trusted adult and be hunters education certified.
This hunt will take place at the Cimarron National Grasslands the largest piece of public ground in Kansas, this will be a spot and stalk kind of hunt for a more experience youth. The youth chosen for this hunt will need to be capable of covering up to 10 miles is tough terrain. Each young hunter must be accompanied by a trusted adult to participate. Hunts will take place in the early morning and continue until the youth is tired of hunting or tagged out.
Hunting will be led by an experienced volunteer mentor. Hunters are encouraged to bring their own shotgun, but one can be provided if needed. The volunteer mentor leading this hunt has plenty of experience and will walk the youth hunters through each step of the hunt.
This will be a wild Turkey Hunt. We will meet, have a safety talk, and discuss the plans of the hunt, then answer any questions youth hunters might have.
