LOCATION: Private property in Rice County approximately 10 miles north of Hutchinson Mentor will provide meeting location
TIME: Arrive at 2:00 PM
AGE OF YOUTH: 11 years of age - 17 years of age
NUMBER OF HUNTERS: 3
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Youth 16 years of age and older must purchase a hunting license and Deer Tags. Youth 15 years of age and younger do not need to purchase a license but will need to have a deer tag.
WHAT TO EXPECT: This is an antlerless whitetail deer hunt on private property. The dates for this hunt will be hosted between Jan 1st and Jan 8th and is dependent on wind direction and weather patterns. Youth will be allowed to harvest one antlerless deer. Upon arrival, volunteer mentor will lead introductions, lead a safety talk, discuss the plans of the hunt, and answer any questions youth hunter might have. There will also be time to practice shooting from shooting sticks and to verify rifle zero if necessary. You will then travel to the hunting area. After the hunt, mentor will teach hunter how
to field dress their deer.
DON'T FORGET:
All participants must have their Hunter Education Certificate!
Parent or Guardian must attend hunt with their youth.
Participants are responsible for transport and processing of their deer.

Snacks and drinks
ORANGE HAT AND VEST WILL BE WORN AT ALL TIMES DURING HUNT
(hunter and guardian).
Bring Your Firearm and Ammo -Please let us know if you do not have one.
Dress According to Weather
ALL youth hunters must purchase appropriate tags/permits for their hunt.
