2025 Wisconsin Mentor of the Year: Thaddeus Loduha
At Pass It On – Outdoor Mentors, we believe in recognizing those who exemplify our mission of connecting youth to the great outdoors through dedicated mentorship. This year, we are thrilled to honor Thaddeus Loduha as the 2025 Wisconsin Mentor of the Year — a passionate outdoorsman whose dedication, patience, and heart for service have opened doors for countless youth to experience hunting and fishing for the first time.
Thaddeus’ journey as a mentor is defined not just by the number of outings he’s supported, but by the enthusiasm with which he invites youth and families into the outdoors. Whether he’s introducing kids to bird dogs, connecting young hunters from his community with new experiences, or already planning next season’s woodcock hunt, Thaddeus’s creativity and drive for maximum impact are unmistakable.
Program Coordinator Quinn Erdmann said, “Thaddeus is the kind of mentor who comes to me with big ideas. When his name comes up on my phone, I know his plan is about how we can get the most youth involved in the outdoors. Whether that is a day to show kids about different types of hunting dogs, getting youth from his church to experience hunting for the first time, or the woodcock hunt he already wants to organize in 2026 — it is big ideas for the maximum amount of impact.”
We asked Thaddeus why mentoring matters to him:
“As someone in my late 20s, I think about leaving an impact that aligns with my interests and experience,” Thaddeus explains. “I enjoy teaching, and I firmly believe that the art of hunting should be introduced to each young family, parent, and child. Mentoring matters because youth not only gain independence and confidence, but they also engage in a sport that fosters discipline, patience, intuition, and perseverance.”
