Outdoor Mentors Expands into New Jersey, Names Haley Faith as Program Coordinator
New Jersey native and marine biologist will lead new mentorship efforts as Outdoor Mentors grows along the eastern seaboard
WICHITA, Kan., Aug. 12, 2026 — Outdoor Mentors (OM) today announced the expansion of its youth mentorship programming into New Jersey, alongside the hiring of Haley Faith as the organization's first New Jersey Program Coordinator. The newly created position builds on OM's recent expansion into Pennsylvania and reflects the organization's broader strategy to grow its presence along the eastern seaboard and into neighboring states across the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Faith will lead Outdoor Mentors' mission of empowering youth and protecting the future of outdoor traditions through quality mentorship across the state.
Born and raised in southern New Jersey, Faith holds a B.S. in Marine Biology and has spent years working with nonprofit conservation groups, from youth mentoring and environmental education to fundraising and volunteer recruitment. She has also built an extensive network of relationships with outdoor industry partners and serves as an ambassador for Girls with Guns Clothing Co., experience she brings directly into her new role guiding Outdoor Mentors' growth on the East Coast.
“I am honored and grateful to be a part of the Outdoor Mentors team,” Faith said. “This opportunity is truly a dream come true, allowing me to turn my lifelong passions into a dedicated career of service. I understand that protecting the outdoor activities I love requires inspiring the next generation to get involved, and I am eager to empower young people to get outdoors, preserve my family’s hunting heritage, and carry out the mission of Outdoor Mentors.”
“We are very excited to have Haley join our team. Her wealth of knowledge and experience in building partnerships and mentoring youth makes her an amazing addition. Being based in New Jersey allows her to make a meaningful impact in her home state and be a catalyst to our east coast expansion as capacity and interest grows” said Dr. Scott Petrie, Chief Executive Officer of Outdoor Mentors.
Faith's love of the outdoors and conservation runs deep, thanks to a rich hunting heritage passed down from both sides of her family. She started hunting at just 10 years old, harvesting her first deer alongside her dad, and has since expanded her pursuits to include turkey, duck, goose, squirrel, and upland bird hunting, along with her favorite, elk. A certified yoga instructor and fitness coach, Faith is passionate about living off the land and sharing a “field-to-plate” lifestyle as a tool for holistic health — the same spirit of hands-on mentorship she now brings to Outdoor Mentors' newest chapter along the East Coast.
A lifelong resident of southern New Jersey, Faith lives there with her husband and their dog, Ellie May, a standard poodle.
