Outdoor Mentors Expands into Pennsylvania, Names Tyler Coleman as Program Coordinator

Award-winning taxidermist and Penn State grad will lead new mentorship efforts across the Keystone State

WICHITA, Kan., July 21, 2026 — Outdoor Mentors (OM) today announced the expansion of its youth mentorship programming into Pennsylvania, alongside the hiring of Tyler Coleman as the organization's first Pennsylvania Program Coordinator. The newly created position was established to support OM's continued growth. Coleman will lead Outdoor Mentors' mission of empowering youth and protecting the future of outdoor traditions through quality mentorship across the state.

A lifelong Pennsylvania resident, Coleman was introduced to hunting and fishing at a young age by his grandfather and members of the Nick Barry family. Those early mentorship experiences played a critical role in developing his passion for the outdoors, conservation, and hunting, while helping shape his character and career path.

"It is an honor to join the team at Outdoor Mentors," Coleman said. "I understand firsthand the importance of mentorship and conservation, especially when it starts at a young age. Some of life's greatest lessons are learned in the field while hunting and fishing, and I look forward to creating those opportunities for youth across Pennsylvania while helping further the Outdoor Mentors mission."

"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Tyler to the Outdoor Mentors team," said Dr. Scott Petrie, Chief Executive Officer of Outdoor Mentors. "Tyler has built an exceptional reputation across Pennsylvania, not only for his accomplishments as an award-winning taxidermist and decoy carver, but also for his integrity, leadership, and passion for mentoring others. His deep connections within the hunting and conservation communities, along with his commitment to our mission, make him the perfect person to lead Outdoor Mentors' efforts in Pennsylvania. We're fortunate to have someone of Tyler's caliber representing our organization."

Coleman is an award-winning taxidermist and decoy carver who owns and operates Full Circle Waterfowl LLC, a highly regarded waterfowl taxidermy and media business. He brings the skills gained from growing Full Circle to Outdoor Mentors, along with extensive mentorship experience, a broad network of contacts throughout Pennsylvania's hunting and fishing communities, and a tireless dedication to conservation and sporting traditions. He has also generously shared his expertise by dedicating countless hours to leading fundraising committees for nonprofit organizations throughout Pennsylvania.

A Penn State graduate with a degree in Agricultural Science, Coleman lives in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, with his wife, two children, and Boykin Spaniels.
