Youth Intro to Duck Hunting

Who wants to learn to duck hunt?

Hoosier Creek Conservation and Retriever Association (HCCRA) is hosting an Introduction to Duck Hunting for youth local to Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Corridor on October 2 & 3.

Oct 2 afternoon Saturday: Firearm Safety, trap shooting fundamentals (at Hawkeye Wildlife gun/trap range located North of North Liberty Iowa off Highway 965)

Oct 3 morning Sunday: Youth waterfowl hunt (including an introduction of waterfowl hunting and hunting etiquette followed by learning how to clean birds, methods to cook/bake along with other food)

Note that those participating in the hunt will be assisted by professional guides with their Labrador Retrievers.

Requirements:

1. This event is open to youth and their parent(s) or guardian(s) are highly encouraged to attend.

2. If a firearm is needed, please indicate this in the registration form.

3. Ammunition for this event will be provided and distributed by your guide.
